Discover the Silver Comet Trail with Inman Park Properties

Soon to Connect to Atlanta Beltline: Discover the Silver Comet Trail with Inman Park Properties

Atlanta is not ordinarily known for its walkability. As a terminus and convergence point for major railroads, Atlanta has focused primarily on industrial infrastructure during its expansion. However, with the recent development of trails and paths, Atlanta is quickly becoming a city welcoming to pedestrians and bikers alike, and commuters can’t get enough.

Thanks to the popularity of the Atlanta BeltLine and Millennials’ demand for alternative forms of transportation, Atlantans are seeking ways to avoid getting in their cars. Walkability, therefore, has become the chief concern of many Atlanta residents and commuters. The value of Atlanta real estate often depends on location and accessibility to the city, and walkability doesn’t stop within city limits. The Silver Comet Trail is a 61.5-mile trail that spans from the Atlanta suburbs in Smyrna to the Alabama border where it connects to the Chief Ladiga Trail in Alabama. Living on or near the Silver Comet Trail promises a perfect balance of living, work and play that suburban residents crave.

By 2021, the PATH Foundation plans to extend and connect the Silver Comet Trail with the Atlanta BeltLine to create the longest paved path in the United States. This connectivity would build a seamless connection from the suburbs into the city, ideal for commuters. An additional mode of transportation may alleviate some of the difficulty many Atlantans feel in getting place to place. Jeff Notrica of Inman Park Properties is banking on The Silver Comet Trail’s success. While in town properties surrounding the BeltLine remain plum real estate, Notrica has invested in the suburbs, acquiring two office buildings on the Silver Comet Trail with the hope to draw tenants who want to walk and bike to work as a part in the future of this growing path of connectivity.

Neighborhood Comics to Open in Spring 2019

SAVANNAH, GA – Veteran real estate developer, Jeff Notrica of Inman Park Properties, announced a new tenant in his revitalized development located at 1201 Bull Street in downtown. Neighborhood Comics, a boutique comic book shop owned by Lee Heidel, will take 1,000 square feet of the two-story storefront this spring, joining White Whale Craft Ales, which opened in 2016.

“I’m excited to curate such a vibrant mix of local tenants,” said Notrica. “We want to bring local businesses back to the neighborhood.”

Escalating downtown rents have forced out local businesses of late. Notrica’s goal is to give them a place they can thrive.

Neighborhood Comics will target artists, collectors, and fans with original comic artwork, a pop-up gallery, and art supplies. Formerly operating as an online retailer, this will be the brand’s first brick-and-mortar store.

The 29,000 square-foot property, just one block south of Forsyth Park, was formerly the Savannah Floor Covering Company. It is comprised of three separate buildings, all built in the 1940s. When it opens this spring, Neighborhood Comics will look forward to more retail as well as a chef-driven restaurant joining the mix.
